| - So I contacted this bakery for a wedding cake approximately 10 months in advance. After making several attempts to find a date to have a cake tasting, we decided to do a tasting on a Sunday in January. When I tried to confirm the date and time approximately one week prior to the tasting, the bakery emailed me to let me know they had another person take my time slot, which surprised me since I had confirmed it so far in advance. I could never tell who was writing the emails, because there was never a name or signature on them. I wasn't able to do a tasting any other time that day, so I requested that we move the date.
Then, I received emails from the bakery stating that I was wrong, that I had never requested the 10 am time slot, and that the tasting would have to be a different day. In my experience, most professional establishments take the approach that the customer is always right. Clearly not Party Cake! I wanted the bakery to know that I had requested the 10 am time slot, so I forwarded the email stating the same just for their reference. The response I got was to let me know that my wedding date was no longer available. Wow, thanks Party Cake! They had the decency to let me know that they regretted to inform me that my wedding date was no longer available. I don't regret it at all. What a nightmare!
SO UNPROFESSIONAL!
