I've been a fan of Nationwide Vision for several years. On the occasions when I have insurance and have gone to other places due to Nationwide not being a preferred provider, I've been disappointed with the quality of eye exam, the selection of glasses and the way my progressive lenses line up in the frames. I had two very disappointing experiences at a different Nationwide Vision Center store and tried for a last ditch resolution with the Nationwide store on University and Gilbert. This Nationwide store (University/Gilbert) totally did not disappoint! The store was a little crowded with several customers, but I was still greeted when I walked in the door and I really like being made to feel welcome at places where I spend my money! I asked if there was someone available to adjust my glasses and the response was, "Of course". I was still a little perturbed about my experience with another Nationwide store and told the young lady at the front counter that I was very frustrated. I also asked if there was any remedy if someone just absolutley hated their new glasses and was told that Nationwide has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. In the meantime, another lady whose nametag said she was a manager and whose name is Melissa came over to where I was standing and offered to assist. She spent about an hour with me trying on different frames, was kind, professional, helpful and calm. She even took two trips to a back room to see if there were other frames that would work out for me. The vibe in this store is amazing. The staff is upbeat, friendly and customer focused. They have created an environment that makes customers feel appreciated and that will keep customers coming back. Serious kudos going out to the Nationwide people at the University store - if it hadn't been for them, I would have stopped using Nationwide all together.
