  • Thank you Alex! And thank you Kevin, Donnie, and Santi! They were amazing. I have moved a lot the last year and have relied on movinghelp.com from uhaul to get the job done. I had a nightmare experience with them this time. I tried to get help the night before my move. Never heard from the company despite leaving messages. So at 7am in the morning, I cancelled online and booked again. I called. Left a message. Got a call back, was advised they would be there at 9am. So I waited. 9am passed. I waited some more. At about 9:35ish, I called and left another message. I tried to call again a few minutes later. I finally got a call back. The owner said he had to call his guys to find out where they were and they were 10 minutes out. It was already 40 minutes past expected time and 10 minutes out would put them at 50 minutes out---nearly an hour later. I told him the least he could have done was give me a heads up on the unexpected change or have better tabs on his guys--and man his phones, if he wasn't with his guys, then why was I always getting the messaging service? Finally at the hour mark I called and said I'm cancelling. One guy showed up at my house 5 minutes later (instead of the three I had asked for) and sounded like the guy I had spoken on the phone with. i told him I had canceled and closed the door. Then the guy at the office supposedly called me after that and said his "guys" were at the door. I told him I cancelled. Then I got a call from a personal number, it was one of the "guys" trying to call me again and offer me a "discount" for doing the service still. I was like no, and stop calling me. So there I was, all packed up and ready to go with no help and horrible experiences so far at 11 am. I had to wait on the phone 15 minutes to get to someone at movinghelp.com and they hung up on me when I said I'd already gotten them canceled. Then the second time, I was told the connection was bad and got hung up on again. Both wait times 15-17 minutes meaning I spent over 30 minutes holding for less than 2 minute calls. I tried to go online, the chat person referred me to the phone information. I was just sooo upset. Finally around 1pm, I was looking online for other movers and somehow came across these guys, I think through a craigslists ad. I had responded to another craigslist ad but it was sketchy and left me feeling weird. When I saw this one, I saw they were a legitimate business with good yelp reviews. I called Alex and told him my story and said, I really need someone today, can you help? He said let me check and call you back. He called me back as promised and said they would come at 3:30. I was hungry and exhausted so I trusted that timeframe, took a break to eat. Sure enough at 3pm, I got a call from Kevin saying they were a half hour out, and they arrived on time around 3:30. They were professional, they were fast, they were light hearted and funny and it certainly helped change my attitude and allowed me to trust them because they were professional about everything. They quickly wrapped my stuff up in blankets, they were able to move without much input from me, so I was able to relax, they noticed I had a truck and gave me the flexibility of choosing which truck to load to reduce my price per mile on the truck I had, they were asking me where I wanted stuff and how I wanted stuff. Overall, I had a really good experience with them. I'm planning to use them again, for sure. So little effort required and so much more reliability than what I went through with the third party assistance that morning. I did lose my glasses case somewhere in the move and I had placed some screws in them, so I did have to go to Walmart to get them fixed. It was a bit inconvenient, but not enough to deduct a start from my overall experience as compared to requesting and getting such spectacular same day service. Definitely use these guys! I got moved on the 18th, so this review is overdue, and the weather was a horrible 114 degrees. So they were awesome. The prices stay the same no matter what--three people, $40 gas price, everything they said and you see in the reviews, and they had me checking off paperwork along the way, making sure everything according to business protocol, I loved that.
