| - We changed a friend's PCP to this organization because they were part of the Humana network and could visit my friend who lives in a memory care facility. However, that was a huge mistake.
They first visited my friend in February and the PA ordered a chest x-ray and bloodwork. I later emailed the PA to get the results. No response. I then phoned and was put on hold for more than five minutes, so I gave up; when I tried again, the same thing happened. I tried again a week later and spoke to someone who didn't initially even know that the PA was on their staff; he promised me that he or she would call me back.
About a week later, I received a voicemail message from the PA, asking me to return her call but not even leaving her phone number! How unprofessional. When I sent her an email to inform her that I didn't have her phone number, she sent me an email with her phone number, not bothering to call. I gave up.
There have been two subsequent visits by the PA, visits that were not requested by me, my friend, or her facility.
I did receive a bill for one of them, but when I called to inquire why they were billing me, I was told that they could not talk with me about their bill since I don't have my friend's medical POA. Rubbish. They billed me and would not discuss it?
This is clearly just a money-making operation with very poor communications with the patient's friends and family. So we have turned all of her medical care over to another entity, even though they are not part of the Humana network. But MD24 is a really lousy choice in my experience.
