  • I am furious with the extreme lack of customer service. I bought a brand new Toyota from here in '06 and have never had a problem until today. I am having a fuse problem. My clock stopped working and according to the manual, it is a 15 amp fuse that is under the "Dome section" of the fuse box under the hood. I put in a 15 amp spare that was in the fuse box, nothing. I went to Napa and bought fuses and put a new one in, nothing. Re- read the manual and I think have it all right but nothing is working. I wanted someone to double check. Maybe Toyota has magic fuses? LOL! Or... maybe something is wrong with the fuse box itself or some electrical connection to the clock is off. All I wanted to ask is "If I have done all of this and nothing is working is there someone who can tell me what else I should be looking at?" Today I pulled into the service driveway to ask if someone could quickly check to see if it WAS the fuse and this dopey, nerdy guy, who has NO BUSINESS in customer service, approached me. I told him the problem. He mumbled the whole time and never made any eye contact with me. I was trying to read his lips! I finally got that he was suggesting that I make an appointment. I asked if 10 am tomorrow is ok and what the cost would be. He said that it would take "awhile" to find out because he would have to ask the guy that sets up appointments and he was very busy and could I just wait? Really? I guess I am used to Apple's service where everyone runs around with an iPad and can book appointments from anywhere. Isn't this 2015? Ok, so I waited and he came back and said that I could come in AROUND 10am and it would be $70.00!!!!!! My ex is a mechanic and it does not take an hour (apparently their hourly rate) to check to see what my problem was. I told him that was unacceptable and left. They obviously don't care one bit about customer service. I spent a BOATLOAD of money here for a BRAND new car and even bought the warranty because I had to dump the mechanic for numerous relationship violations. The warranty, of course has expired, annnnnnnnd I never even needed to use the warranty (so they made an extra thousand or two off of me). They couldn't even find someone to help me with a tiny fuse problem? BAD BAD BAD customer service. I own 2 businesses and I would NEVER treat one of my customers like that. If anyone knows where I can take my car please message me! I don't mind paying for someone's time but we all know how these dealers work right? Grrrrrrrrrrrr
