| - There is so much I could write in this review about the horrible experience I've had with this company, but I am so exhausted with it all I'll just say a couple things. Don't expect to get any decent fraction of your deposit back no matter how nicely you leave the property. If I could do it over again, I would have walked out and never bothered with the professional cleaners or carpet cleaners. (Only wish I would have taken pictures upon move out to show how great it looked) It wasn't worth the expense to me at all when I finally received the two hundred and fifty dollars in the mail from my deposit. It cost me over three hundred for the professional cleaners. They will not provide a list explaining what is expected upon move out or a pre-walk through to allow you to be sure all their expectations are met, just nicely explain to leave the property as it was given. Then a MONTH later (you will not see any money before that) find out you were charged hundreds of dollars in repairs that needed to be done on an older house far before you even moved in. They will nickel and dime you to the core, and take whatever they can get away with legally. If you are considering renting a house from them, you better absolutely fall in love with the house, and don't expect them to look at you any more than a way of making a buck.
Also, like another client mentioned they will TELL you when they are entering your home with potential renters, whomever they may be, many times prior to move out never bothering to ask if it's okay or a convenient time for you. The character of the owner and her husband I witnessed through this whole ordeal is a whole other story. Just one of the most horrible experiences I've ever had renting. I've learned a lot and know what to look out for in the future. I can't imagine this company will flourish long term the way they do business. If Karma is real, their time will surely come. Only thing that allows me to let this experience go.
Still waiting on the 100 I was promised would be coming to me over six weeks ago after they finally admitted I was overcharged. Not much, but obviously better than nothing. I'll likely never see it, but will update this if by some miricle they make some attempt to reconcile this in even a small way.
I'm fully expecting a calculated response from guardian in attempt to discredit my review, as any company owner would feel necessary. Learn for yourself. Their true colors will be shown if you choose to move forward with them.
Update: Got a lovely message from Danielle yesterday December 12th stating the 100 check they demanded from their HANDY MAN, after admitting I was overcharged, had been sitting in the office for some time apparently, and threatening to rip it up if it wasn't picked up immediately . I picked up a tattered check clearly from their handy man who's fault was none of this mind you. Screen shot of text in photos. The rudeness of these people is seriously unbelievable. It's amazing they are keeping their heads above water the way they "do business". Since my review I've actually been asked to testify against this company in court by other unhappy clients. Keep up the good work Guardian! Only a matter of time...
