I moved to Phoenix back in February. I knew that I was due for a teeth cleaning and Risas took my insurance. Upon completion of my cleaning I was told I had three cavities. I had my last cleaning six months prior and checked out fine. The Dentist on shift made two of the cavities sound pretty bad, he said it would be $480 for the three, which was odd because I have the best Aetna package my company offers. He insisted that I get them operated on so much that he pushed me into a finance qualification sheet when I questioned the $480.
I went and got two more opinions at different Dentist office's. Both took new X-Rays for free (the ones from Risas couldn't be read properly). Both said that they are cavities so minor, they might never need to be worked on. I asked for quotes just for the heck of it. One was $280, one was $320 after my Aetna. I won't be coming back Risas.
