Felt ripped off by their gluten free option which was simply 2 gf scones (theses were nice) and 4 pieces of veggie tempura, 2 veggie handrolls, and 2 chocolate macaroons. For the price point of $38pp, I would have expect some meat or seafood instead of just plain old fried veggie sticks. I mean, come on, there are so many gf bread options in TO that I assumed that a high end hotel would have just substitute their regular sandwiches with gf bread so that I could have enjoyed a proper high tea with proper sandwiches. On the other hand, the food for the regular option was tasty and decent according to my partner.
Tea was not that great and service was terribly slow and not in sequential order (i.e. first come, first served) although the waiter was friendly and courteous. We waited over 30mins to get out tea after ordering and over 1 hr for our food. Other guests that came after us were served their food first. What gives??
Definitely would not come again.
