| - Shea builds solid homes. We love ours at Trilogy Verde River in Arizona. A word to new buyers however. Before you choose a new-build in this community first look at the homes being sold by residents there. Here's the difference. While all the homes are under one year old, the developer's marketing is not entirely forthright. They will, for example, claim that a new Brasada model is $548,000. What they don't point out however is how bare-dones that is--no landscaping, no rain gutters, no trash enclosures, no fencing, no window coverings, no lot premium added in. They take you through a "model" and don't mention that that model, as is, would sell for over $800,000. Instead, you should look at homes for sale by current residents--they've already done all the work and brought the home up to par, be it adding a pool, or adding the amenities that the developer HOA requires. Visit the site on the weekends and look for Open House signs. You could be doing yourself a big favor.
