  • Maybe this is a relative rating; relative to every other Chinese restaurant in the area. If you are in town from New York, Chicago, or even downtown Cleveland, I suspect you won't be selecting Magic Wok. For those of us who live here, this is really is the best of the best. The General Tao's is definitely not a General Tso's, for better or worse. It almost tasted like a hot sauce for the chicken. Their fried rice is dark, but very well done. The Pad Thai is good. The chicken dishes are good. Everything is good. Probably even above good. They only use white meat chicken, that means chicken breast. That's why it earns a 4th star. The people that work here are very nice and hospitable. If I have one recommendation, it's the size of the fried chicken chunks. It's like 1/4 chicken breasts that have been breaded and deep fried. Which isn't bad per say, but you definitely need to cut the chunks into 6-8 pieces to be able to enjoy it with the sauce of choice. You can always judge a Chinese restaurant based on how leftovers taste the next day, and Magic Wok passes that test.
