| - This was the weirdest and by far the worst dining experience in over 1.5 years in Charlotte. Spoiler: spend 2 hours there for a sandwich, nachos and a coffee. First, my family comes in for lunch, the place is busy and there's a family in line before us, so we get ready to wait. In the first 10 minutes nobody even acknowledges our presence. Everybody's just standing around waiting, while 3 different waitresses pass by on multiple occasions. Then the people in front of us get seated. We wait another 10 minutes before the waitress says she'll clear off one of 3 available tables. Two reminders and another 10 minutes later we get seated. The table she cleared off for us has trash around it - straws, utensils, crumbled up dirty napkins on the floor. We wait 15 minutes for the waitress to come around and get our drink order, which doesn't come at all. Then another waitress comes to take the order again, because the previous waitress "just left". At this point we've just given up on having any decent service, and agreed that the food has to be outstanding to make up for it. Half of our drink order comes, which were waters, and the waitress forgot to bring a third water for our daughter. I also ordered a cappuccino, which I had to remind the staff members twice about. Another 20 minutes pass. A guy in a dirty t-shirt emerges out of the kitchen, holding our plates: he has guacamole on his hands, touching my husband's plate with nachos, so the outside of the plate is filthy. The nachos were soggy, but if you wait for over an hour for lunch, anything becomes edible. I ordered a gobbler sandwich with a side of roasted potatoes. The sandwich was nothing special, potatoes were cold. You can tell our food was just sitting there forever before it was brought to us. After two reminders I finally got my cappuccino. It was served in a cute mug, but tasted like diner coffee and had a greasy film on top of it, instead of delicious looking milk foam. We finished our meal, at that point the family that was seated before us has just received their food. A few people at the tables around us had delicious looking breakfast items, but after today's experience, there's no way in hell I'm coming back to try those. I was looking forward to trying this place out, and everything from service and food to cleanliness of the place has left me greatly disappointed.
