I've never had the coffee so I can't tell you about that. I've only had the mixed drinks on the menu. I've been going to this Dutch since it opened and never really had any problems but it's becoming more and more of a hassle to go here.
Lately, I've noticed that the drinks on the menu have become more sugar than espresso. This bugs me for a few reasons: I really needed the caffeine, it does not taste the same, I need the caffeine, and finally caffeine tastes delicious and there isn't much in my white mocha.
Second, the friendly "broistas" used to be a major selling point for me. But it's not so cute anymore. I hate getting stuck in line behind someone because the customer and the employee are having a philisophical conversation about how rad corgis are. Then when I get up to order it's like they have to rush my order to make up the time spent talking about corgis. It's losing the Dutch charm that it once had.
I'll be going back to my local coffee shop where the batista hates everyone equally and just wants me to h*ck off so she can go back to looking at pictures of cats wearing sombreros.
To the customers:
Get out of your car. Walk up to the window to order and stop blocking traffic.
