If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This place is overrated.
Theres so much inconsistency with their staff's work. I wouldn't have come here if my sister hadn't gone on and on about how this place is rated #1 in Toronto.
I came here with my sister on a Thursday. She got an acrylic service done and absolutely loved her technician.
Mine on the other hand - within 24 hours my shellac mani started to chip. I came back to get the chipped tips repaired. The lady just applied on top of the chipped parts - not the whole nail. So now half my nail looks darker than the other half. I felt super rushed and the tech kept on getting beckoned to go do another service.
I complained to the receptionist about the experience I had and the tech came to the counter and asked what was wrong. And I told her that I didn't think the job was done well. I told I understood she was busy, but from the experience I had, I most likely wasn't coming back.
Then a manager got brought into it and explained that the tips most likely chipped because I have short nails. I told him that I've been having shellac done for over a year and a bit and I've never had this issue. He said they didn't have space to do a "full repair" (?) and to come back and they would give some discount on my next service. I reiterated that I highly doubted I would come back.
Oh - and now one of my toes is red and swollen am because of how deep the tech cut my cuticle.
To pay about $110 and get a terrible tech - it wasn't worth it.
Go to Lux Nail Bar and get your money's worth for a quality service and great customer service.
