This place serves good food one time and bad food the next. No consistency. I also know that the establishment was sold several years ago and the quality of their food declined. We have gotten their rellenos in the past and they were very good. The last time we went there we got the combo plate with 2 rellenos and they were topped with a red mess that tasted like a marinara sauce that should have been on Italian pasta. It was so watery that it turned the greasy, egg coating to mush. We scraped this concoction off the rellenos and took them home to make great burritos later. When checking out I told the cashier they were terrible and she said, "Oh, you don't like the traditional rellenos? This traditional recipe is 70 years old and people come from miles around to eat them." I had to laugh. My husband and I have been eating authentic Mexican food for over 60 years and we know good and we know bad. This was very, very bad. I don't know whose recipe this was, but it was terrible. She shouldn't have been so defensive and argued with me about how wonderful their rellenos are and I would not be leaving this bad review. On leaving I told her I would never get their rellenos again. One last side note; when the server saw our scraped off marinara sauce and mushy egg coating, she asked what was wrong and we told her. She replied that she didn't like the way they fixed rellenos either. HAHA
