  • Enjoyed a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day with my husband at Spa Avania. I luxuriated in a facial by Lena, who combined her aesthetician background with a delightful cranial massage (making sure to get my permission to do so first) along with a relaxing neck, shoulder, arm and soothing foot massage to complete the experience. My skin felt like it was glowing afterwards and my muscles tingling. It was delightful to slip into the hot tub upon completion of the service and end with a warm private outdoor shower in the warmth of the Arizona sun. After drying my hair with the amenities provided inside and storing my clothing in the lockers, I changed into my bathing suit to meet my husband - after his deep tissue massage, one he rated the best he'd ever had, by the spa pool where we each had healthy lunch selections off of the menus provided by our chaises. Carlton was prompt in tending to us and orders arrived within a short time to our satisfaction. We each dozed blissfully and passed the remainder of the afternoon partaking in a travel Scrabble game we brought along, played at one of the tables on the upper deck by the fireplaces before re-joining civilization. The only change we noted during our return to the facility this time was the fee for parking - however, the spa does validate the ticket so remember to take this with you to circumvent the additional charge. Otherwise, very well worth the cost for the afternoon get away.
