  • I have a Niece and a Nephew.. both of which are in the age bracket that is perfect to shop here at Kol Kid. I like to go there as opposed to going to the big kid chain places when I can.. I am one of those people who are early bird shoppers for christmas as I hate leaving anything to the last minute. I think with this store, it would be best to sum it up in a pros a cons list Pros - there are some pretty incredible gems in this store. Whether it is interesting musical instruments or unique night lights. You can find something for that lil person on your list - It's centrally located downtown unlike most of the kids stores, you aren't having to travel to the suburbs to find something for them - They have the brand names in this store but also they have some independent artists which is a nice contracts Cons -way overpriced. There's no need to spend so much money on clothing for a kid who's going to grow out of it in two seconds - The staff aren't all that eager to help. I have never seen anyone stand out from behind the counter. They are always there talking amongst themselves waiting for someone to come and pay for an item - Being on queen street, they too have Queen street hours. Sometimes I need to pick something up last minute in the morning but I have to wait until they hit the double digits on the clock before getting anything Overall its worth checking out but be prepared to spend big bucks on something that the kid (or kid at heart) will play with for only 5 minutes.
