Service reigns supreme to me.
Then, flavor is a close part B.
Today's call in then pick up was anything BUT flawless. I canceled Del Frisco's reservations so I could just pick up Sullivan's on the way home. Didn't feel like driving to South Park.
Anywhooz, today I learned Sullivan's is part of Del Frisco's corporate umbrella. Cool. I've had prior visits and didn't collect points but I will today.
Ordered the Sure Thing which is their 3 course price fixe. Arrived to no parking. Valet said just take handicap. So I feel uncomfortable and rushed. I don't want to inconvenience any handicap placard or disabled person. I know the struggles.
Enter: no hostess.
I walk to bar.
They redirect me to hostess stand.
I wait.
She's sweet.
Gets ticket and it's double the cost. Someone didn't catch I asked for the "Sure Thing."
This took several attempts to fix including a manager saying it doesn't exist. Another Manger says it does and boom... the head Mgr fixes everything then exceeded my expectations with a bonus card for an official apology.
I was standing in the restaurant writing this 3 star review when it jumped to 5 because of how everyone took some extra initiative to WOW! the customer.
I didn't get the steak I ordered yet valet and mgmt were on par.
Why 3?
* I called back to inform someone that they didn't check us in for OpenTable.
*I was told it was handled. I'm sure it was just some server passing by and answered the phone.
*minutes later I get the no show email from Open Table.
* There's room for improvement and I'm sure they'll make it. This won't deter me. Just taught me to dine in, always.
