  • Okay. Let me start out with the good here. This place has been around forever, so it's only right that I pay homage by at least doing the whole "positive-negative-positive" thing. I was on a double date and we started at Queen Park Social, but there was a 3.5 hour wait for bowling (seriously!?), so we decided to hop over to AMF because we knew we wouldn't have that problem there. So I'll start by saying they have plenty of lanes and chances are pretty high you won't have to wait for one. Also, the cashier was super helpful in explaining how we actually pay for games and whatnot. Once we got to our lane, I couldn't figure out how to get everybody's names into the system. Another attendant came over and was super sweet, helping us get everybody set up and he even put a really cute background on our screen. It's the little things that leave an impression on me. We had a blast bowling! The main issue we had was the bar. Now...bless the bartender's heart, she was doing her absolute best. That being said, they really need to get her some help! It literally took FOREVER to order drinks and then actually get them made. I don't blame the bartender at ALL...management should hire additional help, especially on busy weekends. They'd make a lot more money off the bar- we eventually got tired of waiting for drinks and decided to cash out and go to a different spot. My date and I spent about $40 on games and another $40 or so at the bar. In hindsight, the place isn't really nice enough to justify that expense on bowling. I appreciated that it was a bit more down to earth than Queen Park Social appeared to be, but they need to either come down on prices OR upgrade bar service if they're going to keep prices where they are. In the end, it's a good place to come bowling if it's a night when they have a special, and you don't want any drinks. Otherwise, I'd say go somewhere nicer for an overall better experience.
