People who work at guitar stores, by and large, have an impenetrable shield of self-importance. The guys here, disappointingly, are not outliers. It takes a bit of waffling around, maybe fiddling with the guitars on the walls to coax the repair guy out of his shell and get him to even stand at the counter.
I could have bumped them up to 3 stars--prices are reasonable, and they're not the worst people--but I don't believe in grade inflation, and Yelp's handy sidebar definition of what constitutes a 2-star rating hits the nail on the head: "Meh. I've experienced better." It's very much possible for a mom-and-pop guitar store like this to be done well if it allows itself to be wackier/be more friendly/have a better selection than your local Guitar Center, but Jimi's is basically Guitar Center downsized into like 200 square feet. What's the point?
