Great Coffee, lousy service.
Merchant's of Green Coffee poses a quandary to the discriminating coffee drinker. Firstly, it's an absolutely unique setting. They've converted a warehouse into an intimate, cozy coffee shop filled with kitschy books and art. It's a surprisingly large space with plenty of space to sit and leach free wifi.
Their coffee is unparalleled. The beans are fresh and ground only once you order. They use some sort of sock like contraption to produce your drink. The resulting product is uniquely flavorful.
The main draw back to Merchants is undoubtedly the service. The baristas are uniformly unwelcoming and distant. I've seldom received so much as a smile or greeting upon approaching them. Some sort of perverted pompousness has permeated the place. I get the feeling that they're doing me an enormous favor by serving me. The self-importance that the servers wear needs to be thrown out with today's coffee grounds.
