  • We have had our three kids, Zayn, Leo, and Teddy on their Wellness Plan for over a year now and up until recently all of our experiences have been great. Firstly, I want to give kudos where it is due, Rena and Dr. Temple have always been nothing but wonderful, they have always been so caring and awesome to our pups. More recently it seems as if the service has gone down hill, a couple of weeks ago Banfield called us and informed us that they would need to reschedule Leo's neuter, while we understand things come up, we had to rearrange our entire schedule to get his procedure done in a timely manner. Yesterday we finally took Leo in to get his neuter and Teddy in to get his teeth cleaned. Upon checking in I was greeted by a receptionist I had never met before, Dara. I was by myself holding two pups that were understandably nervous being at the vets office, when she asked me to do the paperwork I politely asked if I could do it on the way out seeing as my hands were clearly full, she rolled her eyes and replied "fine." While waiting to be called into the exam room I was kneeling down trying to calm my two dogs, she asked, not so politely, "can you move over to the benches," this was no big deal but I found it interesting because I was the only customer there. Once I got into the exam room the vet tech (whom I also had never seen before) went over both pups procedures, when he asked if their was anything else I was concerned with we went over the allergies that Teddy has been experiencing and we spoke about this at length for well over 10 minutes. We finished up and they informed me they would be calling when they are ready to go. This all happened at around 730am. My significant other got off of work at 430pm and was going to go pick them up but neither of us received any kind of communication that they were ready for pickup. I ended up calling and come to find out they had been ready for a few hours. When she got there everything went fine except for they failed to examine Teddy for his allergies. They gave us our medications for Leo's neuter (they said to call back if he needs a sedative) and sent us on our way. Last night when we got home Leo was acting a little crazy so we decided to call this morning and request the sedative they offered. The Dr. wasn't in yet so they said they would be giving us a call back. When we called back a few hours later Dara answered and was VERY short with us, saying the Dr. was in surgery and didn't have time to help us (which is fine but their is a better way to communicate to your customers,) it really seems like she hates her job. Dr Mansfield called us shortly after and suggested we give Leo Benadryl, she also wrote us a prescription for Teddy's allergies, she was great but we could of avoided all of this if every thing was communicated correctly by the vet tech. I want to be clear that this 2 star rating is strictly for the recent experiences we have had at Banfield, and again, I want give praise where it is due, Dr Temple and Rena are great, they truly seem like they love their jobs and helping animals in need, they show a genuine love and passion for what they do, we just wish we could say the same for the staff member we have dealt with in the more recent past (with the exception of Dr Mansfield.)
