  • I'm a first time home buyer in the Chicago area, and I worked with Robert (Bob) Orescanin who is based out of the Southfield, MI office. I cannot stress enough how great it was working with Bob. Being a first time home buyer I did not know anything about the mortgage world, and he patiently answered any question that I had and explained in great detail. He truly had my best interests in mind, and was extremely responsive whenever I needed him. Bob is extremely knowledgeable, and will work with you to get the best deal that fits you financially. For those that are skeptical (as I was) with working with an online mortgage company; don't be! RoundPoint's business model allows them to offer the lowest rates because they are a nationwide direct lender, have low costs, and instead make money from the sheer volume of mortgages that they originate. It is also true that they charge 0 origination fees, compared to the $1k - $1.5k that other lenders will charge. If you work with RoundPoint, and you are a first time home buyer, ask for Bob Orescanin (702) 968-9612). He is the man!
