  • This restaurant used to be our "go-to" for special occasions but now that they are adding their addition, they've changed their feel and policies. It's now "big business". It is really awful. We went for my birthday and it was just miserable. (Complete change from last year). Food has degraded in quality, policies have changed and the hospitality is now completely gone. If you want a good Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh, visit Joseph Tambellini in Highland Park instead. We normally frequent there (Joseph Tambellini) but saved Alla Familiglia for special occasions. Never again. Our mistake - Alla Famiglia = mediocre food, high prices and intolerable owner. Just a complete awful experience for a hefty price.
