| - This was my first time ever trying a hot pot, and I chose this place specifically because of their conveyor belt attraction, which we all know is a very scarce find in Las Vegas.
Being a first timer, I was very overwhelmed by the options on the menu. The list was so extensive, I had no idea what was good and what wasn't, so it was one of those moments where I literally went with my server's recommendation. Gilbert, by the way, was fantastic, having a vast amount of knowledge on hot pot, and helped make my experience less intimidating.
I ordered a variety of meats on their list in the end, not really knowing what to try. In the end, I think I can safely say that the Beef&Lamb combo was the winner for me. All the meat was such great quality, sometimes it felt like a shame for me to put it into a boiling pot instead of grilling it. Haha.
On the other hand, this may just be silly old me, but I assumed that you don't really drink the broth because they gave us straining ladles, and there was no other utensil in sight for us to put the soup into our bowls. So yes, silly me, but also silly them for not giving us the right ladle (it was on my second visit where I learned you drink the broth too). It would've been helpful to know the first time before we spent a whopping $70+ on our meal, trying to get full but still left unsatisfied.
On our second visit, we brought family, a party of 7 seated in a booth for 6. There was only one pot to share among 7 people, which we all felt was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. We had the right ladles, at the very least. Perhaps consider adding a 2nd hot pot for tables accommodating to larger parties so they don't all have to huddle around one small pot.
Despite the inconveniences, I loved the piping broths and A quality meat of their hot pots to the point where I couldn't give Chubby Cattle any less of a score than a solid 4.
