  • I will start off by saying I received a really good deal to come check out this hotel during the initial relaunch. I will be writing a more detailed review of my stay and hotel. Please keep in mind as of 6/2018 the hotel is still being finished. The Park MGM greets guests more like a typical hotel, with an added casino. At the main entrance you come to the bell desk, lobby area, self serve check in kiosk's, the PrimRose restaurant, and a couple shops. Its not until you continue further and to the right do you see the casino area. This in itself is a welcome surprise compared to most casino hotels on the strip. Overall the staff was very nice and offered great customer service. Next door via an indoor pathway you can get to the Aria casino. Just before you enter the Aria is a free tram that takes you to the shops at Crystals and the Bellagio hotel. The hotel and casino offer free Wifi in the rooms and throughout the hotel, and pool area. Casino: The one room casino is easy to maneuver. On one wall is the Mlife players club support and the cashier. On the opposite wall is the steak house restaurant, and the sports bar. If you continue to the far back of the casino you actually reach the back of the hotel, which also gives you access to the strip (and CVS drug store). The casino offers slot machines ($.01, .25, 1, 2, 5), table games, and a high limit area. Near the middle of the casino is a circular bar. Drinks are still given for free when gambling. They also have a craps class at 11am each day. Restaurants: Currently they offer PrimRose, Bavettes Steak House, Starbucks, and the sports bar. You can also get food from the pool bar or in the pool area. PrimRose is an all day restaurant that is a mix of a French restaurant/garden patio/craft cocktail bar. Starbucks is a full size Starbucks that is open most of the day. The Starbucks also has salads, sandwiches, and breakfast sandwiches. The pool bar features a nice menu with big portions. Check out each restaurant for reviews. Rooms: Unlike some other hotels, the elevators to get upstairs are not monitored with an employee. Currently its not that busy of a hotel/casino so I didn't worry about security. There are 3 sets of elevators to get upstairs depending on what floor your on. The rooms use a key card to get inside. Each room features a large bathroom with modern fixtures, large sink, hair dryer, shampoo and soap, and a large walk in shower. My room looked out to the Park which was nice and pretty quiet. Seeing the New York New York hotel at night was cool. The windows have two sets of shades and blackout curtains. In front of the window is a huge couch and a wooden table. The TV on the wall is a huge flat screen and it swivels for viewing both on the couch and the bed. The king size bed was directly across from the window and featured two end tables, lights on both sides, and the phone. There were a ton of outlets in the room. Near each outlet was a USB plug as well (well done!). At the base of the TV was more outlets, a USB connection to sync to the TV, a bluetooth button to sync music from your device to the TV (worked great), and a HDMI plug (bring a cord). There is also a closet with a iron, a few hangers, an ice chest, glasses, and some drawers. Pool: See Pools at Park MGM for a review. The hotel features three pools that are available for guests only. It also has a standard size hot tub. There are a ton of lounge chairs for seating, and if you go online you can reserve a special chair or cabana for an added charge. I would highly recommend the pool drink and food menu for some tasty treats! Cons: Currently the hotel only has 2 real restaurants. Not a big deal though as you can walk to the Aria and New York New York (not to mention numerous other hotels) for lots of restaurants. The elevators broke down for a whole day (we had to use the bell hop elevators). Many parts of the hotel are either under construction, or you can tell have areas that are 'coming soon' (i.e. blank walls). There is no walkway from the Park MGM to the New York New York, so you have to walk in the heat and cross a busy road. The hotel is lacking signs to get to many places (bathrooms, directions to New York New York, etc.). The hotel does not and will not feature a fast food or cheaper restaurant. Air-conditioning in room was terrible. At the lowest setting I still slept with no clothes on and on top of the sheets. Last...and this is huge. Self check in terrible! Please change this ASAP!!
