Went for dinner with a party of 3. I had made reservations but they happened to be unnecessary, since we went at a very quiet time. (But for brunch? Make them!)
We had the friendliest and most cheerful server I've ever met, and he was extremely accommodating.
I ordered the jalapeƱo cheese dip with chips and the pork shoulder tacos for my tapas. My husband got the beets, garlic shrimp, and crimini mushrooms. My mother-in-law got a vegetarian torta dish that sorta looked like a Spanish version of lasagna.
Everything was phenomenal. (I also tried a seasonal cocktail of raspberry lemonade that was perfectly tart and sweet.)
The server informed us they smoke all of their own meat, and you can tell. Everything tasted fresh and was presented nicely.
Even the coffee was flavorful and rich. Many times, restaurants will wimp out with weak coffee. As a coffee snob, I was pleased even getting a cup of decaf with the flourless chocolate cake was worth it.
Fabulous local gem!
