| - On 08/01/2014 - I donated 12 inches of hair to Locks of Love - cut off over 14 inches of hair after all was said and done. I was really excited and nervous. After my haircut, it turned into disappointment - courtesy of Tatum.
After I left, I went out with friends. They pointed out the left side was longer than the other and there were longer pieces of hair in the back.
Once I realized how uneven my hair was I called the salon and explained to them what happened. Marissa told me Tatum would be there between 5:45pm -9:00pm & her schedule was open. Went back in at 8:20pm to have Frankie tell me she left already. I spoke with Nina, explaining I just wanted my hair to be cut even. Another stylist came out, looked at my hair, confirmed it was uneven and cut my hair again - she told me she was really picky and would fix it for me. Keep in mind, when I came back in, my hair was one length. She told me she "textured" my hair - within 10 mins. I went home washed my hair and realized she just framed my hair in the front but didn't take any of the length off the left side or in the back.
I was hoping it was my imagination but after getting a second & third opinion and confirming my hair was uneven on the left side, back and a block of hair wasn't cut I decided to go back today.
08/06/2014 - I was lucky enough to see Timaree. She actually listened to me. Took the time to straighten my hair and see what I saw and felt. As she was straightening my hair she asked a few questions how the stylists cut my hair and I answered honestly. When she turned me a certain way because the cord to her straightener wasn't long enough - I saw both stylists that cut my hair was right beside me, now in front of me. Tatum was cutting the other stylist's hair. Neither of them acknowledged that they cut my hair nor bothered to apologize.
Timaree did a fantastic job. She actually fixed the problem. Wish she cut my hair the first time. Would've saved me time and lot of heartache.
P.S. - After my haircut, I requested to speak with a manager to explain my overall experience but was told all managers were in a meeting.
08/07/2014 - I left a picture and comment on their Facebook.
They left a general comment:
Dolce Salon & Spa Hi there! We'd love to follow up with you and hear a little bit more! Email us at feedback@dolceco.com!

08/14/2014 - A week later: after leaving messages with Tonya for a manager to return my call and (emailing as requested) my experience, I have yet to have anyone attempt to call me. Great to see how much Dolce values their customer's experience. Not at all.
08/25/2014 - After 2.5 weeks since this post, I have yet to receive a call from the manager that I requested, nor have I received a response from the email that I left on 08/07/2014 as they requested. (see above). AND I haven't received any information about donating my hair from Locks of Love either. If this doesn't show how lackadaisical they are about customer service, concerns and issues - I don't know what to say. TERRIBLE. Over $30 given in tips - would've rather spent $50 on 1 quality hair cut instead. The first 2 stylists truly didn't deserve their tips. They both should be ASHAMED of letting someone walk out with such a HORRIBLE haircut.
