Just finished an incredible meal at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill. Started with the black kale salad at my server's recommendation. Albeit a bit reluctant (being not a huge fan of kale), I could not believe how good it was. The kale and shaved Brussels sprouts were finely cut and shredded and very tender. Coupled with the seeds, cheese and dressing -- it was incredible! I then opted for the long standing signature pork dish (one of 3 suggested dishes) which gave new meaning to pork; it was coupled with the perfect tamale side dish--sweet potatoes and pecans. I paired the pork with a glass of lovely Spanish wine (again my server's suggestion) and it was an ideal accompaniment to the dish. This was definitely a wonderful evening for any "foodie" and wine lover. Kuddos to Chris, (my server) who turned my evening into a culinary delight with his suggestions and outstanding service! (And btw, although I am on a low carb diet, I did try all the breads which were equally good --although I only ate ALL of the corn muffin.). Thank you Bobby Flay and Chris!
