| - They saved my hair. I've had been using fashion dyes since 2015, purple, pink, blue, green you name it. I'd bleached my hair 6 times or more + toning. Over the past three months I accumulated a LOT of damage, breakage, splits, and tried to return to a natural hair color to give it a rest.
We all know box dyes are terrible but somehow I ended up resorting to them. I hadn't been to a salon in 4 years, I was tired of seeing stylists for expensive cuts and not getting what I wanted. I came in with my hair absolutely fried, it was elastic-y, dry and brittle and even though I washed my hair the night before it was still damp in some sections!
The prices are very reasonable for the services. The more training a stylist has, the more expensive their services are and you can book with whomever. They offer you coffee, tea or water during your visit.
The place is very clean and well kept, there were staff consistently cleaning and sweeping the floors throughout my visit. It has a very upscale appearance despite being in Scarborough.
Liz managed to salvage it and made me feel super cute with my new hair. I HATE short hair on myself, I hated the idea of losing my hair, I was ready to live with the splits if it meant keeping my length. I'm not a confident person, my long hair is my strength and it means everything to me. When I ask a stylist not to cut more than a certain length it's not because I'm trying to be disrespectful of their experience but because this is MY hair. I'm the one who has to get through weeks waiting for it to grow back, I have to deal with all the anxiety, not looking what I feel is my best..
So, it meant the world to me personally that she really heard me when we discussed length and damage. She could tell I was very nervous and kept checking back with me to make sure it was okay. Explained each step she was doing in detail and was very warm and friendly in the meantime.
I am very happy that I took the risk to try a salon again, I am definitely coming back here for upkeep.
