Absolutely the worst Endo I have ever been to. I have type 1 and know significantly more about the disease than these people. I switched to this office because of my insurance change and it has been a horrible experience ever since. I have been a "patient" of Dr. Alamir for 8 months now and have never met him. I DEAL with Melanie Westfall and her assistant Maria and it is a complete struggle. I needed a script for insulin and I was told NO that I needed to come in because we have not seen you in a while (you mean I haven't paid you money in a while). I have type 1, the disease will not magically cure itself, I need insulin. She did say she would give me a one month sample to get me by. But the soonest they could get me in is over a month!!! So I go to pick up my insulin pen samples because I need it. When I get there my insulin is under the wrong last name but with the correct first name and birthdate (don't trust them with your info). Now, they get the name situated and hand me the samples. It consisted of 4 Novolog pens and 1 Humolog pen. WTF, this is the same insulin made by different manufacturers. I needed Lantus not Humolog. I need the long acting with the meal time.... Maria then tells me "Oh, we don't have Lantus here". I was so upset I left. Now I am off to try and find insulin. I will go to my general practitioner now to stay alive. Don't go to this place, they care far more about getting paid than they do about the welfare of their patients. Terrible!
