Optima is a very unique property, it's a set of glass buildings visually very striking when you drive by on Camelback and you can't miss it.
It definitely has a prestige factor. I've lived here for almost a year so I think fairly judge the property.
The Pro's:
Units Are Open and Basically Brand New - Tons Of Light Comes Pouring In
Super Legit 24Hr Gym - Probably The Best I've Ever Seen For an Apt Complex
Free Coffee Machine - Overall Huge Amenity Area (ping pong, pool, etc)
Great Location - Close To Old Town and Arcadia/Biltmore
Windows and Build Quality - Once Your're Inside The Unit Can't Hear Much of Anything
2 Outdoor pools + 1 Indoor Pool w towel service - super nice and has wow factor
Everything is Very Functional - My parking and mail is close to my unit, gym has the right machines, the place makes sense in terms of layout and design
For The Most Part -Upscale Feel - Pretty Quiet and Business Oriented People (Pool & Gym can get busy at times)
The Con's:
Very Congested When Driving In
Washer and Dryer Suck (I think they're Eco Friendly)
Water Pressure is Weak in Shower
Bathroom Itself Is Small At Least For My Unit (Full 1 Bedroom)
Obviously it's Expensive (Relative to Other Options In Town)
All in all I give the place 5 stars because despite the con's no building is perfect and Optima is not w/o it's flaws, BUT, it's the nicest building ever I've lived in I seriously doubt you'll find anything better in all of Valley.
