| - I really to do this. But given the circumstance.... Dropped my car off on a Saturday for a check on a fuel leak. My car was there ALL DAY, and they told me that the gas tank needed to dropped down. It was a 5 hour, $500 job they said... I wondered why did they take all day just to tell me that? But I said ok, then they said they couldn't do it til Monday.... so I agreed and left the car there all weekend. Monday comes around, I don't hear not one word from the shop all day. So I called about an hour before they closed. They said, ' oh, well it's a bad fuel pump. It needs to be replaced.' I said ok, how much will it be? They said about $300 plus the $500 for dropping the gas tank and maybe more $ if it needs a hose(s). I was pissed because my car had been there 2 days and the most they did was check the fuel pump. WTH? I know I'm not a mechanic, but c'mon... it doesn't take that long to diagnose a problem like that I'd imagine. At this point, I was already $500 into the repair so I told them to just finish it. But they said it will be another day because supposedly the part hadn't arrived and they've been waiting for it for 5 hours... yeah right. So I did some of my own research, turns out I find a direct factory part (fuel pump ) for my vehicle, dealer priced at $151.00. I looked on other sites, same price if not cheaper. WTH?!!! So I go to pick up my vehicle next day... they still charged me $300 for the fuel pump. I asked why the pump was so much, and what brand they used? The guy ringing me up said, " I don't know? The mechanic working in your car picked it out..." Then I showed him the dealer part on my phone I found the day before... I asked again, "Why was the pump so much?" The guy said, " Well I see the part number, but idk if that's the right pump..." It was just back and forth for a few minutes, and I was just tired from the long day so I just said ok whatever. Paid the $890, oh, and he said he'd knock off $30 for the repair (gee thanks), and I was out. Something wasn't adding up... all I know is that I left my car there for nearly 4 days. I wasn't updated on the status of the repair nearly all day Monday. I understand shops get busy, but a simple call at some point (not 30 minutes before close) would have been nice. All I know is that if your looking to get your car repaired soon, I WOULD NOT recommend this place. The work is good, but the cost time and labor is way out of wack. Please stay away!!!!
