The Aga Khan Museum is my favorite museum of all time. No expense was spared in making the building look beautiful in the city of Toronto. It makes for a wonderful addition to the city and promotes the values the Aga Khan represents.
Upon entering, the infinity pool is mesmerizing. It is so simple, yet when paired with the surrounding area, extremely beautiful. After purchasing tickets, the tour guide takes us on an elaborate journey through the Aga Khan museum. There are some really neat pieces inside the museum.
This museum does a great job at conveying Islamic values--true Islamic values, not the ones portrayed in the media-- to the western world. A lot is misunderstood about Muslims and this museum is a step in the right direction in explaining to western civilizations the values and principles of Islam. There is so much peace in the museum. There is so much to do. This museum promotes pluralism, something that makes Canada unique and great.
If you are in the Toronto area, I definitely recommend the Aga Khan Museum. It was a great way for me to better understand the Islamic community and appreciate what they bring to our society.
