  • Furious with our experience out there this year. Last year we went tubing and the kids had a blast. It was a great experience and we went down the hill many times. We've been looking forward to going back again. This year it was completely opposite. It was a complete waste of money. Both last year's session and this year's session (we did the 1:00-2:30 session) were sold out. This year there were way more people tubing, and my husband and kids spent most of the time in line. The gate wasn't opened until 1:10, and the session ended at 2:30. In the 80 minutes of tubing, they spent so much time waiting in line that they were only able to go down four times. We were with another family, and they only went three times. I understand that a small wait in between turns is normal, but this year it was ridiculous. The slopes were much flatter and there was not a hill in the middle like there was last year. Most people were slowing down to a complete stop before getting to the end, which resulted in people having to walk the rest of the way down. My son got tripped up getting out of his tube coming up after one of the runs, and the staff member at the top sat there, only a few feet from him, texting on her phone while he struggled to get himself and his tube back up. While my husband and kids were tuning, I went with a friend to get food. The main lodge was a whole other disaster in and of itself. There were groups of people sleeping in the chairs at the tables, taking up tables for people who were there to eat. Many parties brought in their own food and set up camp at the tables, again, leaving no tables for people who were there paying for food and eating. When brought to a cashier's attention, she empathized and acknowledged the ongoing problem of a lack of seating due to people camping out at the tables, but nothing was done. I attempted to contact and email customer service and never got a response from anyone. Nothing about this year's experience was worth the $90 we spent on tubing, plus parking/vehicle access and food. Save your money!!
