| - i took dr mariam anand my daughters records from all the doctors she had seen over many years. dr. miriam anand promised me she would read, copy and return them to me promptly. my daughter has many allergies to medications including asthma meds, antibiotics and steroids witnessed and documented by her doctors even during a surgical procedure and documented in those records. my only copy i trusted gave to her, dr. miriam anand herself in front of danielle, her aide.
she never listened to us regarding her severe allergies or reads those records.
when i called to get them back as they were my daughters medical history which is very complex. i was told they were shredded!!!
dr. miriam anand continuously prescribed medications my daughter was allergic to. the pharmacist where we get her meds alerted us that this doctor was prescribing these meds under different names but they were red flagged. he told me when called the doctor she fill it any way. so, he said he had to manually over ride the red flag to fill the prescription. when we tried to set an appointment to discuss it. her medical tech danielle yelled and screamed at my daughter, then schedule the appointment a month out. when we finally got in, dr anand had all the answers. would not let me or my daughter have a word in the conversation. she had the nerve to insinuate that she had patients who were allergic as a child and she gave the meds and they were fine. we're not taking them we told her. so, she prescribed the drugs any way. and even when my daughter told her some were giving her suicidal thoughts, she continued to encourage her she needed to take them anyway. she did not take them any way!!!
oh, my daughter was very sick. had been in urgent care and er 3 times, then hospitalized with pneumonia. before it got to this point we tried to make a sick appointment. forget it!!! upon discharge, we were told to see dr anand right away as my daughter is allergic to all antibiotics except zythromax,steroids and most rescue asthma meds. we called danielle, she refused to give her an appointment before 1 1/2 months out. after being discharged from the hospital. ridiculous!!
for once my daughter got mad about this and spoke up, dr anand said she wanted a chance to make things right. so they started canceling her appointments and rescheduling then a month out then canceling.
so, i asked for my records back again (the ones i received from her doctors previously, took to her office and handed to dr anand in the presence of danielle). they sent me dr. anand's records.
when i read some of her notes i was appalled that she claimed my daughter was claiming to have all these allergies, and said nothing was documented. she never read one word of the hundreds of pages we brought, nor dr wong's recorded notes where he witnessed anaphylaxis over an 8 hour period in his office. or the notes of dr lewis at mayo clinic, or the chandler hospital notes where they gave her solumedrol iv in the er while under her care and she broke out in hives all around the iv sight instantaneously.
dannielle had the audacity to call me (her mother) one evening (after i requested my records back) telling me don't ever call that office again and i was not to say anything because she was doing the talking. ignorant, rude, very unprofessional practice! the chandler/tempe office smells horrible!
i see all of a sudden she has 5 stars in all her reviews from verified patients, right! danielle is the verified patients!!!
we went there for a few years because we were referred by s doctor because her credentials looked goid on paper. she never lived up go it from my point of view.
i would not recommend this doctor or her rude staff to anyone. i really give them no stars. and i say if you or your child have severe allergies or asthma. run from this office and find a doctor who listens, reads her colleagues notes and sincerely cares about their patient! they don't!!!
