| - Porter is great... if you're actually able get on your flight, which in my experience is far from certain. My partner and I booked round trip tickets from Toronto to Boston and both flights were cancelled; the first time no reason was given and we didn't inquire, but the second time we did ask and were told it was weather - even though no other incoming or outgoing flights were cancelled, including one coming from Toronto. If it's just a matter of not having enough passengers, fine - a two hour delay to not have to fly Air Canada is, I suppose, worth it. But to be lied to about the reason is insulting; we can read both the arrivals/departures board and the weather forecast, and assuring us that a flight two hours later is guaranteed to take off screams of deception. Sending a cancellation email two hours before the flight is supposed to take off is not an appropriate amount of time considering most people are probably on their way to the airport; send it earlier, and/or call, and/or don't cancel the effing flight in the first place! For people catching bus/train connections, such frequent cancellations can screw up an entire trip.
Were it not for this dishonesty (I'm still sitting in Logan...) Porter would get 5 stars. But I do not appreciate being lied to, especially when the employee knows we know he's lying.
