In the beginning, the customer service was excellent and I was elated that I was able to find my dress. However the measurements that were taken by the sales associate were extremely off. The sample was a size 10 and I was told that I should order a size 16 based on my measurements. At first I told them I would like to order the size of the sample and two associates convinced me otherwise. Saying that if I didn't have enough material for alterations the dress could not be fixed. Like any other bride I lost 15 lbs before the big day. When the dress arrived it was enormous! I had my alterations done at Mecklenburg Bridal. That poor seamstress tried her best and had to completely remake the back of the dress (it went from a backless dress to completely closed). During both fittings the seamstress apologized continuously for how badly the dress came out and did not understand why they would order the dress so big. She said there was no way 15 lbs would cause me to go from a size 16 to a size 9. After nearly $400 in alterations the dress was still baggy. She was unable to fix the bust due to the cup material.
After seeing my wedding dress in pictures I was pretty upset. I called Mecklenburg Bridal Gallery and explained my situation to the sales associate on the phone. I asked if there was anyway I could rent the sample dress so I could retake my wedding pictures. The associate said she would talk to the owner about my situation and call me back...8 months later I'm still waiting for that phone call.
