My husband and I are diamond Hilton members so we've stayed at Hilton properties all over the world. This was one of the worse stays ever. I'm not usually that picky when it comes to hotels but this one was not good.
First, the front desk was slow. I get it, you're busy, but staff accordingly. The concierge was sitting there doing nothing and could have probably taken a few people and at least answered some questions.
The only great part about it is the water park. That was really nice and the kids loved it. The pool staff, waiters and bar tenders were excellent and the expensive drinks at least tasted great. The pool made the trip enjoyable.
I called for a late check out and no one answered the phones. I tried every number except the food service and finally got a bell man. He said he'd have someone call me back. No one called and the jerk at the front counter had no customer serve skills. All his said was "when do you want to check out" I said 3 and he said "fine". At 2 I went back to my room and was locked out. Went back to the counter, same guy, he said "yeah that happens" wtf??? Really??? If that happens shouldn't you tell me that or prevent it before it happens? No responsibility on their end.
The smaller pool has nice chairs and wasn't too crowded. The patios and walkways desperately need to be power washed. Just too many little touches that were missed to give this place a good review. The pool food was good but overpriced. There are plenty of good places to eat close by. Pool towels were clean and plentiful which was nice.
We stay at Hilton because of the brand standard. This one fell really short!
