It was a mixed experience at Nobu Las Vegas. Personally not a fan of the Hard Rock location. Service was attentive and friendly but I can see why some may think the service borders on rude and snooty. When you order something, they definitely try to upsell a fancier item. It can be a little overbearing.
- lychee martini was delicious and strong
- black cod with miso - mmm mmm!! knock out! highlight of our meal
- yellow tail sashimi with jalapeno - very tasty indeed
- toro carpaccio - recommended by our server. was tasty with shaved truffles but the sauce was a little too overpowering
- toro and scallion hand rolls - meh, nori wrapper was a little chewy, had to tug a bit with each bite. for an establishment of this caliber (supposedly michelin 1 star rating 2009), I thought this was a major no no. the best establishments make sure the nori are well kept in a wooden box to maintain the right moisture level.
overall enjoyed dinner but would not plan to dine here again when back in Vegas.
