I learned yesterday that Costco does not acknowledge people with medical disabilities. I arrived at the store around 5pm on Saturday, April 7th. The door greeter advised me that I would not be allowed into the store with my support animal. I offered to provide the medial documentation my doctor provided me. The door greeter called a manager over and he stated that Costco does not recognize medical disabilities. I was very surprised by these reactions considering that when I applied for my membership I took my picture with my support animal. My support animal is a 4 pound Yorkie that goes everywhere I go as he provides a service for my mental condition. I have shopped in Costco on other occasions and have never been denied entry. Due to this last experience I will no longer do business with Costco and will request a refund on our membership. I will continue to do business with Sams Club which I have never been discriminated against at any of their locations.
