| - PepBoys advertises price-matching, so I brought in a competitor's coupon for a basic oil change and cleared it with one of the customer service representatives before dropping my car off. When I picked up my car, however, the store manager did not want to honor the price match. I calmly explained that I had already been assured of the price match. In return, the store manager started calling me names and yelling profanities. Apparently, he also did not like the way I was looking at him, so he became physically threatening, came around the counter, started poking me in the chest, and suggested we go outside "to handle this".
In the end, the man calmed down a bit, but was still too upset to operate the cash register. He ended up kicking me out of the store after refusing any payment for the service.
Bottom line: Irrational store manager with serious anger issues. Bring your business to a place where you won't be physically and verbally abused.
