  • Mercurio's embodies everything that is Shadyside. The food is expensive, the staff are pompous, and the clientele are upper crust. Nevertheless, I must admit the food is good and one of my favorites within walking distance; but stick with the pizza and house salad ($15 at the very least). The panini's are sub-par and the appetizers are terribly overpriced (just like everything else here). Gellato is also quite good. Definitely worth a trip.
