| - First time homeowner here, and the initial inspection was done during the sale of the house. They've been out a few times since to check the traps that were placed, and I was home for the first inspection which went very well. Yesterday, I received a call reminding me that someone would be out to inspect the traps this morning around 8am, and they wanted to ensure there would be access to the back yard.
This morning we unlocked our two gates to the backyard and locked our dogs up so they didn't have access to the back/side yard. My wife left work this afternoon, using vacation time, to go home and unlock the dog door for them. When she looked in the backyard, the traps were undisturbed, still covered by dirt/rock/grass. If it weren't for the fact that we didn't pay for their services in the first place, I would be finding a different company to work with right now. So, we'll continue this until the warranty runs out and go forward from there.
To be asked to make the yard available and to then not perform the service that is expected is unacceptable in and of itself. Furthermore, to take paid time off to ensure the well-being of our pets while accommodating the request, only to find out nobody ever went into the back/side yard is pretty upsetting. It was a waste of time, a waste of paid time off, and a general inconvenience. Beware that when it comes to these checks, you may not be receiving the services you should have.
