so this is an update on a two year old review. I was shocked to receive a message here on yelp from one of the owners of Fratello asking me to revisit their coffee I guess after reading my 2 star review over to years ago. That's a pretty rare thing these days having someone care that much to engage people who had previously left less than perfect reviews. My old stance on Fratello was that their beans all tended to be roasted WAY darker than I like, ( basically catering to the Starbucks crowd). Russ mentioned their new Analog project was a better representation of the style of coffee I like so a few weeks ago I went with a good friend down to 17th ave to check it out and was absolutely ecstatic with the whole experience. Amazing coffee, I ordered my goto which is a double espresso and a large latte. I enjoy the espresso to stay and take the latte to go. The barista informed me that that's called a "hit and run" haha I had no idea it was an actual thing. I'm happy to say that despite the great coffee, hands down the best part of my new take on Fratello is finding people in this city that care enough about their craft to take the time to sit down and email a random dude on yelp asking them to give their product another try. This is a story I'll continue to share for a long time.
