Friday evening and it is pouring outside. Looking for a local dive to hangout with a hot date where it is cozy and dark enough for some privacy? The place to visit is definitely at Crave Dessert Bar. It's a loft like lounge that reminds me of Soho or Noho in NYC. Okay, so I have had two glasses of Cosmopolitan (Delicious). The bartender tonight did a fabulous job. Very hard to find a place that can make one mean Cosmo like the one's in NYC.
What can I say about the ambiance it's "Tres Chic". I have been here already 5 times. Fell in love with the place the first time I stopped by. Beautiful artwork displayed by local Charlotte Artist. The beautiful hostess and waitstaff all dressed in red hot dresses. This is the place that has it all together. Service is top notch. Our waitress was Kristina B., made sure we were satisfied and happy with the food and drinks. Clint, the GM is always around to greet customers and give you his favorites/recommendations from the enormous menu. He also double checks if your meals and drinks are coming all at the same time so you do not miss out on anything.
I have been here on numerous occasions. On a Sunday late afternoon (Board Games and Jenga) with a meet up group over appetizers and cocktails. 3 hot dates for the dessert which are so memorable. Got hooked on the Candied bacon ice cream cookie- it's an addiction with the salty bacon and the ice cream blended with the gooey chocolate. Today, I went for the Victorian- Talk about a death by chocolate and with a piece of dark chocolate nestled by the cake. Just Sinful!!! Also had the Double-Decker Strawberry Short Cake- I am in heaven the fluffy-ness of the top layer of the mousse blended with the bottom layer of cheese cake. Not to be missed.
My all time favorite for appetizers are the Steak Empanadas and Veggie pot stickers brings back memories of home cooking with my grandma.
Killer Cosmopolitans, and do not forget the pitcher of Sangria- another great concoction you definitely have to try here at Crave.
