| - This place has some potential! We went several weeks ago. The place was quiet - not much going on. The furniture and decor was "interesting", as a few others have pointed about, but I don't much care about that stuff (won't rate based on that unless it's horrible). Though I wIll say it was weird that they have this nice building & decent work inside, but then have road signs (get it - detours) on the walls.
The menu is interesting... Lots of UNUSUALstuff which I really appreciated. A good deal of the menu pursues somewhat healthier options than you get at most places, so I was pretty excited. I can see how both a healthy person and a grease-eater would be pleased with the menu. I had the bison burger which I thought I would be in love with... Sadly, it came out really rare (read: undercooked) where I had asked for it to be medium; it was cool in the center. I ordered some healthy side that I thought I would like, but it was pretty bland... I *think* this was by design, not sure. Not horrible, just bland.
They had "happy hour specials" at the time - which was a whopping dollar off of a standard cocktail. Whooooaaaaa... Shiver me timbers! Not a deal at all, considering the cocktail was overpriced to start. I'll pay the higher tab on the food since you've got some really unique, creative, and healthier stuff, but a cocktail is just a cocktail.
Service was... Well... Pretty sure our waitress had just started in food service. She was very new, but I give props for her trying and this place for giving her a chance.
I would have rated a 2 for the cold burger and pricy drink, but like I said, this place really has some potential. I'll definitely give them another shot after they've been opened a little longer, and will hope for something cooked all the way through once the kitchen staff has a little more experience.
