I have been once for Sunday brunch and once for dinner. Had I only been to Sunday brunch, I would have knocked a star off because the menu is limited (discovering right before going in the menu online and having my pick ready to go before finding that out).
My first visit, I had a crab cake appetizer (which was very tasty) and chicken wings - they asked me what level of heat starting with 5 and going way up from there. I said a "6" and the things nearly burned my lips off but they had really good flavor.
My next visit, I had the bronzed shrimp and grits. Fantastic flavor but damn spicy! About mid way through, the spice again started to make me uncomfy. I should mention I have had grits before and these were the best I have had. Maybe it was in combo with the sauce which contained andouille sausage - which was nice too, but they were cheesy and tasty.
The staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere nice and "New Orleansy".
I think what makes this place a 4 star instead of 3 1/2 is that it's different than the place down the road and that's a good thing to me. I'll come back again
