 | - Attended a seminar at the Golden Corral. It was dinner on someone else so I cannot say anything about the price. Not even sure what the price was, I would assume somewhere between $10 - 14. I was not even that hungry. The girl who took care of our table (served drinks and the like) was just fine, very attentive. All of the employees seemed to be very good, anxious to help the diners, cleaned up dishes quickly, cleaned tables quickly, seemed happy to have a job. The food was plentiful and a good variety. I went to the salad bar and was pleased with the variety of options, different kinds of lettuce, lots of add on items both vegetable and dairy, about a dozen types of dressings. A good salad can be made and that in itself may have been worth the price (had I paid). After that I mainly walked around and looked at all they had to offer. Lots of different meats, chicken, steak, pulled pork, ham; some Chinese, some Mexican, some Italian; lots of vegetables both steamed and sauteed; many different potato dishes. A sizable offering of food. Then there was an entire dessert section, cookies, pies, cakes, a flowing chocolate tower, strawberries, jelly, pudding, ice cream with numerous toppings, cotton candy. In looking over the restaurant it is evident that it is a place for families as the largest age demographic was children. Most of them were scarfing down on the desserts, I saw some monster cotton candy sticks.
All of the food seemed fairly fresh, looked like the rotated new platters of food in quite frequently. The restaurant was clean, although a couple of sections had a rather musty smell, maybe from food ground into the carpet or children making messes...who knows.
Good place to go if you just want to stuff yourself for a few dollars, but I am not sure how you will feel a couple hours later.
