  • This is one service that you hope you never have to use, but when you need to, Lap of Love provides exemplary care. My first experience with them was in California. When my senior diabetic cat started getting sick, I was relieved to know that they had vets working for them in my new home of North Carolina. Just as before, the phone receptionist who took down my information was very kind and helpful. I immediately felt more at ease after speaking with her. She told me I would be seeing Dr. Amy. Dr. Amy came yesterday and was exceedingly warm, caring, and knowledgeable. We had a very difficult case that was somewhat of a "gray area," but Dr. Amy patiently discussed all of our options and outcomes with us. When we had all decided that it was indeed time to say goodbye to our wonderful cat, Dr. Amy explained everything and was so gentle and kind. You can tell that she absolutely loves animals and wants only the best for them. Making the euthanasia decision is never EVER easy, but allowing your beloved pet to pass away at home where he or she is comfortable is truly a gift. I will never forget the kindness of Dr. Amy. This company is truly wonderful. While I do not look forward at all to experiencing the loss of a pet, this is absolutely the most comforting way to experience it.
