| - I've been going to this special little place since 2012. A few things have changed, but the things that haven't are the friendliness of the servers and the quality of the curry.
Tucked within a crowded and small plaza, Japanese Curry Zen is pretty much THE place to go in town for, well, good Japanese curry. They make their flavorful curry with a vegetable broth and a blend of a whole bunch of spices that together make a comforting and unforgettable taste.
Accompanied by the curry is a wide selection of meats and vegetables including tonkatsu, kurobuta sausage, deep fried shrimp, and fried tofu. I personally order the curry with either chicken katsu or grilled chicken, occasionally with spinach. You can't go wrong with any combination, really. And if I could suggest to ask for the fukujinzuke (hard to pronounce, but easy on the tastebuds), it'll give a nice sweetness to the savory plate.
